Tragic Bombing in Balochistan Claims Lives of Two Children

A roadside bomb detonated near a police office in Pishin, Balochistan, on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of at least two children and injuring 15 others, including police officers and civilians, Arab News reported yesterday.

Local officials reported that some of the wounded are in critical condition and have been hospitalized. The attack occurred amid rising violence attributed to separatist groups in the region, although no group has claimed responsibility yet.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the bombing, expressing sorrow for the lost lives and stating that those responsible “do not deserve to be called humans.”

Baluchistan has long experienced a low-level insurgency, with groups seeking independence from the central government in Islamabad. Despite claims of government efforts to quell the unrest, violence continues to plague the province, raising concerns about the safety of its residents.
