Pakistan: Tragic Accident Claims Multiple Lives as Ambulance Collides with Oil Tanker
At least five individuals have lost their lives and three others were injured after a Rescue 1122 ambulance collided with an oil tanker in Pakistan, Aaj News reported today.
The accident occurred while the ambulance was transporting a stroke patient from Attock to Rawalpindi, where the patient was being taken due to a lack of adequate medical facilities at the Attock District Hospital.
Among the deceased were the rescue medical technician, the stroke patient, and three of the patient’s relatives, while the ambulance driver sustained severe injuries in the accident along with two other individuals.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the tragic incident, which has left the community in deep sorrow. The loss of life is particularly devastating, as the victims were seeking urgent medical care when the accident occurred.
