Pakistan: Security forces kill 4 terrorists in intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan

Four terrorists were eliminated by security forces in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, Dawn newspaper reported on Friday.

The operation also resulted in the recovery of weapons, ammunition and explosives, the military statement said, adding that the sanitization efforts were underway.

Pakistan has witnessed an uptick in terror activities in the past year, especially in KP and Balochistan after the banned militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan ended its ceasefire with the government in November 2022.
