Anti-Islamic Graffiti in Glasgow Sparks Outcry

Anti-Islamic Graffiti in Glasgow Sparks Outcry
————————–
Glasgow’s Kingsway Community Concern (KCC) has strongly condemned a series of offensive anti-Islamic murals that appeared on the walls of the Kingsway Court building and along Anniesland Road.
According to a report by the BBC, the graffiti carried slogans such as “Say No to Islam” and “Stop the Boats”, sparking concern among local residents and community leaders.
KCC Chief Executive Lynne Bedingfield stressed that such actions do not reflect the values of Glasgow’s diverse and dynamic multicultural society. She affirmed that the group will continue to work toward strengthening integration and tackling prejudice.
Police Scotland has launched an investigation into the incident, while Glasgow City Council has pledged that the graffiti will be removed within 48 hours.
The incident has drawn wider attention to the need for solidarity against religious hatred and renewed calls for collective efforts to counter hate speech and discrimination in the city.
