In a recent announcement, Jordan’s Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Sacred Places, Muhammad Al-Khalilah, revealed the opening of 3,000 summer Quran memorization centers for both boys and girls across the country, Iqna reported.

Speaking at a press conference, Minister Al-Khalilah highlighted that these centers have commenced their activities under the slogan, “Hand in hand, let’s protect future generations from drugs.” The timing of the initiative coincides with the students’ summer vacation.

The primary aim of these centers is to nurture generations well-versed in Quranic ethics both in speech and behavior while safeguarding them from the dangers and harms of drug use. The centers serve as safe environments to support youth and foster a strong connection with the Quran, which is expected to play a vital role in promoting good character and spiritual growth.

He also detailed the schedule for the centers: boys will attend sessions on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, while girls will participate on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. Classes will be held in the courtyards of mosques and Quran centers.

Minister Al-Khalilah encouraged parents to register their children in these summer Quran memorization centers, emphasizing that they provide an excellent opportunity for learning, memorizing, and reciting the Quran.
