Inhabitants of disputed Kashmir harassed by Indian forces on security pretext
Indian forces are intensifying restrictions in disputed Kashmir ahead of India’s Republic Day on January 26, a local media outlet reported.
According to Kashmir Media Service, since the day is observed as black day by the Kashmiris living across the Line of Control and world over, heavy deployment of Indian troops and security measures are in place to prevent anti-India protests.
Security check points, house raids, frisking, and identity card checks are being conducted, while youth are being summoned to sign and show their presence to prove they are not involved in anti-India activities.
