British media delegation visits Imam Hussein Media Group in Holy Karbala
The Director-General of Imam Hussein Media Group (IHMG), Mr. Raouf al-Hakim, urged Shia media professionals and activists in Britain to intensify their efforts to spread the culture and teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in the society and to educate young children on these teachings.
Al-Hakim’s word came as he received the ambassador of the British University, Zaher Abd al-Ridha, and a group of Shia media figures at the headquarters of the Media Group in holy Karbala, Iraq.
In his speech followed by Shia Waves Agency, al-Hakim said: “The committed media, especially of the Shias of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, has the greatest responsibility to introduce the cause of Ahlulbayt and disseminate their Islamic principles, morals and teachings.”
He added, “The Shia communities in the United Kingdom always need to meet their knowledge needs through targeted media programmes, especially targeting youth and young adults, to introduce them to the discreet culture of the Noble Prophet and his pure family”.
For its part, the visiting delegation expressed their happiness with the great success achieved by the IHMG, “at the level of its targeted programs and news coverage, and its endeavor to reach the Shia communities all over the world.”
