PR of Shirazi Religious Authority: It is God’s grace for the Iraqis to make the grave of Hussein, peace be upon him, in their country

The Public Relations Officer for the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, Sayyed Aref Nasrallah, affirmed that God had favored the Iraqis by making the grave of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in their country as well as the other Imams, peace be upon them.

Nasrallah said when receiving His Eminence Sayyid Ali Arshdy and His Eminence Sheikh Fuad Fujian, that Iraq is the country of the heavenly religions, prophets and imams, but the greatest blessing from God on its land and people is the selection of its soil, i.e. Karbala, to be honored to contain the immaculate body of Imam Hussein and his sons, brothers and companions, peace be upon them all.

This is in addition to the presence of the honorable graves of the infallible imams and some prophets, peace be upon them, but Karbala and Hussein, peace be upon him, have special characteristics that are shared with none.

He added, that the Iraqis have the right to be proud of this great virtue and grace.

He continued: The Iraqis are dedicated, in the true sense of the word, in their service to the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, and his guests. They spent the most precious time, effort, money and staying up late, to the extent that some of them were away from their homes and families for ten days and more, to serve the honorable pilgrims.

Nevertheless, we found everyone apologizing to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, for any possible or unintentional negligence.

Sayyed Nasrallah concluded by saying, “The Iraqis have set the most wonderful examples of the Husseini generosity.”
