Iraq: More than 1000 pilgrims per hour enter through six entry points
The Iraqi border crossings Authority has identified six entry points for pilgrims coming to the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The director of media for border crossings, Alaa al-Din al-Qaisi, said, according to the official agency, that “the borders that pilgrims enter through for the Arbaeen are: Shalamcheh, Zorbatiyah, al-Sheeb, Bandariyah, Safwan, and Najaf International Airport.”
Al-Qaisi added, “The number of pilgrims entering reaches about 1,000 pilgrims and more per hour, so it is difficult to determine the numbers currently until after the end of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.”
The head of the border crossings Authority had announced earlier the resumption of the entry of pilgrims to Iraq.
