Extensive preparations to commemorate the International Day in Support of the Al-Askariyain, peace be upon them

The Public Relations Office of the Shirazi Religious Authority in Karbala is making extensive preparations to commemorate the “International Day in Support of the Al-Askariyain”, peace be upon them, on the last Friday of the great month of Ramadan.

The organizers of the al-Walaa Wal Fida’ Wal Fath Procession, affiliated with the Public Relations of the Shirazi Religious Authority, mentioned that every year the procession organizes a trip on the last Friday of the great month of Ramadan to support the two Imams in Samarra, peace be upon them.

They explained that registration had begun to visit the al-Askariyain Holy Shrine.

Ahlulbayt followers have been reviving the last Friday of the great month of Ramadan at the Shrine of Imam Hasan al-Askary and Imam Ali al-Hadi, peace be upon then, for more than 50 years, after the late supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad al-Husseini al-Shirazi, urged people to visit the holy shrine in Samarra due to its distant location.

Pilgrims are transported free of charge from Karbala to Samarra after noon prayers and return after dawn prayer.

It is worth noting that during the time of the former regime, this blessed pilgrimage was stopped, but after the fall of the Saddam regime, the trips were reorganized so that the city of Samarra witnessed year after year an increase in the number of pilgrims participating in it.
