Iran Expects Around 6 Million Pilgrims to Participate in Arbaeen Commemoration of Imam Hussein

Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has announced that it expects around six million Iranian pilgrims to participate in this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), marking one of the largest annual religious movements toward Iraq.
The organization said preparations for the pilgrimage season are continuing in coordination with Iraqi authorities to facilitate border crossings and ensure smooth entry procedures for pilgrims during the peak travel period.
Officials added that the operational plans include providing logistical, health and security services to support pilgrims throughout their journey, from their departure in Iran until their arrival at the holy sites in Iraq.
The organization said current estimates indicate that the number of Iranian participants could increase compared with previous years, reflecting continued interest in taking part in the Arbaeen commemoration.
