At least 400 civilians have been killed or injured following Pakistani airstrikes on Kabul, amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to Independent Persian, the strike took place on Monday night, targeting a drug rehabilitation center, at a time when many residents were outside their homes after breaking their fast during Ramadan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban government, described the attack as a “crime” and an “inhumane act.”

Reports cited by Middle East News indicate that more than 200 people were killed and around 250 others injured. Pakistani authorities have denied that the strike was carried out intentionally.

The strike came within a wide escalation of military tensions between the two nations over long-standing security issues.
