Wave of Arbitrary Arrests in Southern Aleppo: Syrian Youth Fleeing to Lebanon
———————————–
Local sources report a rise in arbitrary arrests in the southern countryside of Aleppo, stating that pressure from the security forces of the Al-Joulani regime on residents, particularly Kurds, has intensified.
According to the Shia Waves Agency (citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights), security forces in the towns of Ta’liran and Tel Hasil are detaining individuals without judicial warrants. The charges sometimes include accusations of collaboration with the Kurdish Autonomous Administration.
These detentions have significantly increased insecurity and fear among young people, leading a number of them to flee to Lebanon to protect their lives and freedom. Human rights experts warn that the continuation of this trend will likely trigger a new wave of migration and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the region.
