A total of 230 Iraqi families, comprising approximately 850 individuals, have returned from the al-Hol camp in Syria’s al-Hasakah province and have been settled in the al-Jad‘ah camp in Nineveh, Shia Waves Persian reported.

This group marks the eleventh convoy of 2025 and the 29th since the start of Iraq’s repatriation process for its citizens from al-Hol.

Meanwhile, Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with U.S. chargé d’affaires Steven Fagin to reaffirm Baghdad’s commitment to rehabilitating returning citizens. Fagin expressed Washington’s support for Iraq’s efforts to close the al-Hol case and pledged that the United States will encourage other countries to repatriate their nationals during the upcoming UN meeting in New York.

The coordinated effort underscores ongoing international and Iraqi initiatives to reintegrate citizens displaced or detained in conflict-related camps in Syria.
