Karbala’s Specialized Maternity Hospital recorded the birth of 815 infants during the Arbaeen health plan, Shia Waves Persian reported citing hospital director Dr. Muhaiman al-Kaabi.

The births included 643 natural deliveries and 172 cesarean sections, highlighting the hospital’s ability to manage a surge in patients during one of the world’s largest annual pilgrimages.

Dr. al-Kaabi described the figures as a symbol of the dedication and tireless efforts of medical staff, who ensured safe maternal and neonatal care despite the extraordinary influx of visitors to Karbala during Arbaeen.
