Iraq: Over 4,250 Service Tents Operate in Diwaniyah for Arbaeen Pilgrims
…………………..
The Hussaini Processions Authority in Diwaniyah province announced the implementation of its service plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, with more than 4,250 processions and service tents operating this year, compared to 4,000 last year. The authority said efforts are ongoing to coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure smooth pilgrim movement and meet their needs.
Authority representative and media director, Qasim Mohammed Al-Mansouri, said the body, which oversees the organization of religious rituals, works in cooperation with electricity, water, and sanitation departments, as well as local authorities, to provide services and regulate roads and pathways. The plan also includes religious and ethical guidance sessions, along with jurisprudential advisory stations supported by seminary students.
Pilgrims enter Diwaniyah through three main routes — Shomali–Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar–Diwaniyah, and Muthanna–Diwaniyah — and exit via Al-Hamza Al-Sharqi toward Al-Shinafiyah and Ghammas to Najaf, or through Nifer–Afak–Al-Sudairi–Diwaniyah–Al-Saniyah–Al-Qasim. The 425 km stretch within the province’s southern approaches is fully covered by service and media stations, supported by coordinated security and logistical measures.
