Iraq Expands Transportation, Security, and Cultural Services for Millions of Arbaeen Pilgrims

Direct flights, increased transport fleets, security mobilization, and cultural programs launched to support millions of Arbaeen pilgrims arriving in Iraq.
According to multiple reports from Shia Waves Persian, multiple Iraqi and regional initiatives have been launched to enhance services for the millions of pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The Civil Aviation Organization of Gilan Province, Iran, announced the operation of a direct special flight from Rasht to Najaf to facilitate the transport of pilgrims to the holy city during the pilgrimage period.

The head of Iraq’s Border Crossings Authority emphasized that all border points are fully prepared to receive large numbers of pilgrims from various countries, with coordination underway between border security, customs, and service agencies to ensure smooth entry procedures.
Iraq’s Ministry of Transport confirmed the arrival of 580 buses belonging to the first convoy sent by the ministry to Najaf to transport pilgrims. These buses will operate on internal Iraqi routes to move visitors between border points, airports, and the holy cities.

Security for the Arbaeen pilgrimage will be supported by 7,500 volunteer servants, in addition to the official security and service forces, to ensure the safety of pilgrims and the orderly management of routes.
Iraqi Airways announced the deployment of dedicated buses to transport passengers between airports and city centers, providing direct connections for pilgrims arriving by air.
In the cultural field, student religious seminaries have established mawakib (service tents) along the pilgrimage routes offering not only food and rest services but also cultural and religious activities for visitors.

In Diwaniyah Province, authorities have opened a newly equipped bus terminal featuring a fuel pump station, enabling continuous transportation services for pilgrims and ensuring that transport vehicles remain operational throughout the pilgrimage period.
All of these measures are part of the coordinated preparations by Iraqi institutions and communities to accommodate the millions traveling to Karbala for Arbaeen.
