The first flight carrying Arba’een pilgrims from Turkey has landed at Kirkuk International Airport, marking the official start of air travel for pilgrims from the country. The airport’s management announced its full readiness to receive pilgrims from around the world for the annual commemoration of Imam Hussein’s martyrdom.

According to a report from the Iraqi News Agency, Hardi Shawani, the media director for the airport, confirmed that this was the first such flight as part of the airport’s preparations for the pilgrimage. He emphasized that the airport has made all necessary facilities available for foreign pilgrims, including health services provided by Kirkuk’s Health Department. The airport is fully prepared to welcome all flights arriving from various countries.
