“Mufeed” App Launches Free Online Housing Service for Arbaeen Pilgrims
…………………..
The “Mufeed” mobile application has officially launched a free online housing reservation service for pilgrims attending the Arbaeen pilgrimage in 1447 AH (2025), starting from the first of Safar (July 26, 2025). The initiative aims to streamline accommodation arrangements for millions heading to the holy city of Karbala.
In collaboration with over 1,500 hosts—including owners of private homes and Husseiniyas in Iraq and Iran—the new service is set to receive more than 75,000 pilgrims daily. It offers secure and comfortable free lodging as part of a humanitarian initiative to enhance the experience of Arbaeen visitors, using an easy-to-navigate digital platform.
Pilgrims can now reserve accommodations through a dedicated link that provides a variety of hosting options, real-time multilingual communication, and 24/7 technical support. The app also allows volunteers to register as hosts, encouraging a culture of generosity and spiritual hospitality.
According to the developers, participants from over 25 countries have already joined the platform. Organizers anticipate a significant increase in the number of local hosts in Iraq during the pilgrimage season—reflecting the growing global spirit of devotion and solidarity centered around Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
