Misbah Al-Hussein prepares 100,000 meals for distribution to orphans, needy during holy Ramadan

For the sixth consecutive year, Misbah al-Hussein Foundation, based in the holy city of Karbala, has prepared 100,000 food baskets for distribution during the holy month of Ramadan.

This charity institution, in line with the directives of the supreme taqlid authority, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, will distribute 100,000 food baskets among orphaned and needy families in various provinces and cities of Iraq, from Basra to Mosul.

This institute prepares and distributes food baskets among the needy families on various occasions in cooperation with a number of civil society organizations and charity institutions in different provinces and cities of Iraq, including holy Karbala, according to Abdul Saheb Al-Keshwan, director of Misbah al-Hussein Foundation.

He further added: a number of young volunteers have actively participated in preparation and distribution of the food baskets.

According to Hussain Adeli, Public Relations Manager of Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation, the special baskets for the holy month of Ramadan this year include 13 food items.

He further noted: “This institute confidently claims that the food baskets for the holy month of Ramadan are among the best and they are prepared with the highest quality food that is provided to the families of orphans and the needy.”
