The Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi announces ‘Monday’ as first day of mournful month of Safar

The Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, has announced Monday, August 29, as the first day of the mournful month of Safar.

In a brief statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the Grand Ayatollah’s office said that, “Monday, corresponding to (29/8/2022 AD), is the first of the month of Safar for the year 1444 AH.”
