Daily Session of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi with scholars, believers in holy Qom

In the daily scientific session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, on the morning of Sunday, 26th of Dhul-Qa’dah 1443 AH (06/26/2022), one of the attendees asked:

“Is it permissible to lie for the sake of reconciliation between two people?”

His Eminence replied:

“Lying is forbidden, except in the case of legitimate interest of a certain act, for example, reconciliation between two people.”

The Grand Ayatollah answered many different inquiries that were also raised in this session, including: the issue of total knowledge, the hadith of the two weighty things, the ruling on manslaughter, the ruling on dividing money among the heirs equally before death, and the issue of artificial insemination.
