According to a report from the Tehran Times, the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Organization and the Iranian health ministry have provided over 680,000 medical and educational services to Arbaeen pilgrims since July 26.
These services include medical and pre-hospital care, preventative health measures, and educational programs. The health ministry has also deployed a team of Persian medicine experts, including physicians, masseurs, and nurses, to provide care and distribute health packages containing herbal remedies. The services are scheduled to continue until August 24.
Additionally, the 5th International Congress on “Health in Arbaeen” was held to train physicians on health care issues during the pilgrimage. The congress focused on endemic diseases that may be spread by pilgrims from other countries.
