The anti-racist organization MRAP (committee 89) has announced plans to revive legal proceedings against the mayor of Piffonds (Yonne), affiliated with the National Rally (RN), IQNA reported.

According to franceinfo, the association stated that the mayor shared social media montages targeting the Muslim community, described as Islamophobic and inciting hatred.

Although an initial complaint was filed, it was dismissed. MRAP 89 is now appealing to the Attorney General at the Paris Court of Appeal, seeking a judicial review of the case.
