Shia Rights Watch: Afghan Shias face genocide

The organization for the defense of Shia rights in the world, Shia Rights Watch, expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist crime that targeted worshipers in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif, stressing that the course of events indicates genocide against Shia Muslims in particular in the country.

In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the organization said that it “had seen data confirming the fall of dozens of unarmed civilians in a new terrorist crime that targeted several mosques in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif and others.”

The organization called on the Taliban movement and the international community to work to save the Shia citizens from the continuous massacres they are exposed to at the hands of extremist terrorist groups, warning of the repercussions of what is happening on the humanitarian and security levels in the countries of the region.
