The reconstruction project for the shrine of Imamzadeh Yahya (peace be upon him) in Sar-e Pol province, Afghanistan, has resumed after a multi-year halt.

This initiative aims to preserve the site’s religious, cultural, and historical legacy and create a suitable environment for prayer and pilgrimage for the region’s Shia community.

Local officials and religious institutions, in collaboration with the Shia community, are overseeing the restoration of the shrine’s damaged sections, which include the dome, courtyard, and surrounding areas.

The reconstruction of the shrine is seen as a symbol of the resilience and faith of the people of Sar-e Pol, and an opportunity to strengthen social unity among the Shia community and other parts of society.
