Afghan Shia Child Shines at Asian Wushu Championships, Bringing Gold to Afghanistan

Mohammad Taha Ishaqi, a 13-year-old Afghan Shia teenager, has brought a gold medal to Afghanistan in the Taolu section of the Asian Wushu Championships held in China.

According to the Shia Waves Agency, quoting Amu TV, this unprecedented achievement has brought joy to Afghanistan’s Shia community. A ceremony was also held in Kabul to honor the young champion. Ishaqi, who spent years living as an immigrant in Golshahr, Mashhad, was able to develop remarkable Wushu skills.

Additionally, Navid Akbari, another Afghan athlete, secured a bronze medal in the Sanda section of the competition. The return of these champions was met with a warm welcome from the public.
