………………….
The Imam Hussein Charity Charity (IHC), affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority, has organized this year’s Ashura commemorations in Niger, supporting Hussaini gatherings and providing various services to mark the occasion. The initiative reflects the charity ’s ongoing commitment to promoting the values and teachings of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) within African communities.
The charity’s activities extended for over a week and included distributing more than 1,000 meals to mourners, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and under the blessings of Imam Hussein. The ceremonies drew significant attendance from followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in an atmosphere of faith and devotion, expressing a deep bond with the legacy of the Master of Martyrs.
Organizers emphasized that these efforts are part of the IHC’s annual programs, which cover a range of charitable and humanitarian activities alongside the revival of Hussaini rituals. Their work spans multiple regions in Niger throughout the year, promoting religious awareness and social solidarity in line with Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s guidance to support impoverished families wherever they may be.
The Imam Hussein Charity is among the leading Shirazi-affiliated institutions in West Africa dedicated to spreading Hussaini culture, providing social services, and embodying the message of Ashura by supporting the oppressed and serving communities in need.
