Clashes Resume Between Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Forces in Nangarhar

On September 27, clashes erupted in the Goshteh district of Nangarhar between Pakistani border guards and Taliban forces, Khaama Press reported yesterday.

Local residents reported ongoing skirmishes, although neither side has officially commented on the situation. There are currently no details on casualties or damages.

The conflict reportedly stems from a dispute over the construction of a Taliban checkpoint in the “Anargi Ghashi” area, which the Pakistani army opposed. Following the initial confrontation, the Pakistani military launched missile strikes on border villages in Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.

These skirmishes underscore the escalating tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, as both sides vie for control over disputed regions. The lack of formal responses raises concerns about potential escalation, threatening the stability of the area and the safety of local residents.
