An Iraqi security source said that three people were wounded when an explosive device exploded north of Baquba, the capital of Diyala province.
The source said, “An explosive device exploded this morning, targeting a car carrying one of the families in the village of Albu Bakr, on a road in the outskirts of Al-Azim district 60 km north of Baqubah, wounding two women and a man, and they were taken to the hospital.”
The source added, “A team of anti-explosive units” carried out a campaign of combing the road in search of other devices.
Al-Azim district is witnessing continuous terrorist attacks due to its proximity to the borders of Salah al-Din and Mtaybija district, which were previously of the largest strongholds of ISIS and terrorist organizations.
