The Ministry of Health of Yemen’s National Salvation Government based in Sana’a, said the number of victims of the recent rains and floods in capital and other provinces has reached 131 killed and 124 injured.
According to al-Alam TV, the Ministry said in a statement that until August 7, because of heavy rains, 106 houses had been completely damaged and another 156 had been partially damaged.
The Ministry added that negligence in monitoring, lack of proper construction planning and failure to repair many old houses caused the recent death toll.
