The official spokesman for Prime Minister Ahmed Mulla Talal said that Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi directed all ministries and institutions to form an action team to secure the pilgrimages in the upcoming month of Muharram, which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, his family and companions, peace be upon them. 

Ashura will be commemorated this year amid exceptional circumstances witnessed by Iraq and the world due to Covid-19, which requires cooperation and solidarity of all to revive the sorrowful events while maintaining the safety of all mourners.
