Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, the UAE, Morocco, and Syria have announced resolute measures on Eid al-Adha prayers.

As the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the banning of Eid al-Adha prayers in open spaces, and stressed that the prayers will be held only in some mosques.

In Egypt, the Ministry of Endowments announced the establishment of prayers in one of the largest mosques in the country only, and prevented them in the rest of the country’s mosques, as part of precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus.

In Morocco, Iraq, Algeria and the UAE, the authorities decided to prevent the holding of Eid prayers in mosques, to continue the curfew in public places, and to allow only takbir.

And in Syria, the Ministry of Endowments announced that Eid al-Adha prayers will not be held in the governorates of Damascus and Damascus countryside, due to the increased spread of the virus.

In Kuwait, the Head of the Government Communication Center, spokesperson for the Kuwaiti government, Tariq Al-Muzaram, announced, in a press statement, the approval of the Council of Ministers to establish Eid prayers in all state mosques and external Eid prayers that are specified by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, with a commitment to apply the requirements The Ministry of Health in this regard.

This comes in light of the continuing outbreak of the emerging epidemic of Coronavirus around the world, where it recorded about 15 million people, 9 million of them were cured, and 600,000 died.
