The World Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, made an appeal on the International Day of Refugees, calling for research on the causes of immigration and finding effective solutions to the phenomenon of homeland immigration.
“The coronavirus pandemic, with its catastrophic repercussions on the refugee population, added suffering to their plight, especially with the precautionary health measures taken by the host or transit countries, as thousands of unarmed civilians are stranded between international borders and the way to a safer world.”
The organization directed its appeal to the entire international community, especially the United Nations International Organization, to pay attention to the fate of thousands of stranded and threatened families, and look to the refugee population with a purely humanitarian eye that guarantees them security and safety from the conditions surrounding them from one hand, and not to be infected with the pandemic from the other.
At the same time, it called for researching the causes of migration and finding effective solutions to the phenomenon of homeland migration, through international procedures, with political, economic and social dimensions, as stipulated by international laws, stressing the importance of not neglecting this urgent issue that threatens the entire international community.
