Celebrating the birth anniversary of Sayeda Zainab in Syria

A festive celebration was held in the Husseiniyah of the Zainabiya Seminary in the Syrian capital, Damascus, for the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sayeda Zainab, peace be upon her.

The celebration was attended by many clerics and students of religious sciences, and a large number of followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

Islamic seminary scholar Sheikh Hussein Tusla delivered a lecture, in which he spoke about the immortal biography of the great woman and her stances in the epic of Ashura as well as the oppression she was subjected to.

<span”>Another lecture followed, delivered by Sheikh Ziyad Hamwiya, a member of the Fatwa Council in Aleppo, and His Eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Hussein al-Fedayi.

Poems were recited by reciter Zaki al-Noori in honor of Sayeda Zainab, peace be upon her.
