Half a million Moroccans memorize the Holy Quran
Moroccan Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq said that about half a million citizens are memorizing the Holy Quran in different cities of the country.
Moroccan Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq said that about half a million citizens are memorizing the Holy Quran in different cities of the country.
He stated in a speech delivered at the Royal Palace in Marrakech, “The scholars of the country are aware of the protection of the nation from the whims of foreign leaders,” adding, “We have a committee of scholars following a program to educate people on how to distinguish, in the Prophetic hadith, between the right and the subject.”
Tawfiq spoke of the “turnout of half a million men and women, in various Moroccan cities, to memorize the entire Holy Quran.”
