The Center for Manuscript Conservation at al-Abbas Holy announced the completion of the renovation of a precious 12th-century Hijra Qur’an, a property of the library of the Sheikh Tusi Mosque in Najaf, which contains anecdotes of manuscripts, including this one.

It is one of the most important historical copies of the Qur’an, and it has been restored according to the latest restoration mechanisms.

The director of the center, Laith Ali, said: “The Qur’an was renovated according to the latest methods and mechanisms of restoration in the world, and the distortions that hit the papers were removed with great accuracy without affecting the origin of the manuscript, while preserving its identity and historical indications.”
