Over a dozen Americans become Shia Muslims on occasion of Eid Al-Ghadeer
The Islamic Educational Center of Orange County, California has announced that 14 Americans have embraced the school of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and became Shia Muslims.
The Islamic Educational Center of Orange County, California has announced that 14 Americans have embraced the school of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and became Shia Muslims.
The announcement was made by Dr Seyyed Mostafa Qazwini, the president of Shia Muslim Council of Southern California and the founding Imam of the IECOC.
Qazwini in a post that was released on social media website Twitter, wrote that “We recognized and honored 14 men and women of our community who embraced the school of Ahlul Bayt. The number is on the rise. We will continue this tradition every year on this auspicious occasion inshallah.
According to the IECOC Imam, Muslims should embrace the spirit of al-Ghadeer (al- Qadir) that is based on sense of responsibility, fraternity among believers, discipline, organization and obedience to God. Imam Qazwini meanwhile noted that on the al-Ghadeer Day, Muslims renew and revive their allegiance to Imam Ali (A.S.) and pledge to follow his path, his character and manners.
The Islamic Educational Center of Orange County, on the suburb of Los Angeles, is a Muslim community that strives to strengthen the faith of believers through the Holy Qur’an and defined and thought by the Prophet Mohammad and his Ahlul Bayt.
