More than 700 manuscripts and exquisite lithographs from the works of Imam Ja’far Sadiq, peace be upon him, are kept in the Imam Redha Central Library, Mashhad, some of which dates back to the 7th century AH.
More than 700 manuscripts and exquisite lithographs from the works of Imam Ja’far Sadiq, peace be upon him, are kept in the Imam Redha Central Library, Mashhad, some of which dates back to the 7th century AH.
Expert in manuscripts, Mohammad Reza Fazel Hashemi, pointed to some of the works in the library’s reservoir dubbing “Al-Ihtijaj” a series of Imam Sadiq debates; “Tawḥīd al-Mufaḍḍal” including a part of the lesson sessions by his disciple Mofzal ibn Omar Jofi; “Uṣūl al-kāfī” with the subject of Shia Imams, their attributes, the reasons for their imamate as some of the works kept in the collection.
He referred to the debates of Imam Ja’far Sadiq after the daily sessions with a variety of people, including atheists, which is written by Jofi in the book “Tawḥīd al-Mufaḍḍal” in four chapters.
“Some named this book “Al-Ahlilajeh” and there are more than 113 manuscripts and lithographs of this exquisite work and its translation, which are often written in the 11th and 12th centuries AH in the Library,” he said.
Moreover, there are 85 manuscripts and lithographs of the book “Misbah al Sharia and Miftah al Haqiqa” written in the 10th century AH, and 14 of the valuable title “Kashf al-ghumma fī maʿrifat al-aʾimma” by Ali ibn Isa Arbeli, with the theme of the memoirs and virtues and miracles of the Infallible Imams, peace be upon them, in the collection.
