Karbala hosts exhibition of paintings on the character of the Noble Prophet

The al-Abbas Holy Shrine held the first heritage exhibition under the title “The Gifted Mercy”, at Bein al-Haramein, Karbala.
Artistic paintings that deal with important aspects of the personality of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, were displayed.
Ammar al-Hilali, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, said, “The exhibition was dedicated to the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, on the occasion of his blessed birth anniversary.”
The exhibition included more than 70 paintings, which varied in styles including calligraphy, decoration and drawing.
“Another important goal of the exhibition is to activate and encourage the artists to gain more creativity and development in this field,” added al-Hilali.
