Najaf airport resumes flights carrying Arbaeen pilgrims
Najaf International Airport has resumed flights carrying pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The airport’s media said in a statement, “On October 3rd, Najaf International Airport will resume receiving flights carrying Arbaeen pilgrims from all parts of the world, amid strict security and health measures.”
Last Wednesday, the Iraqi government agreed to the entry of 1500 pilgrims from each country whose citizens wish to participate in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, after official, religious and popular calls to the government to demand that Arab and foreign pilgrims be allowed to participate in the commemoration of Arbaeen.
