At least six Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike conducted by the U.S. forces in eastern Nuristan province of Afghanistan.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East in a statement said the airstrike waas carried out in Nur Geram district of Nuristan.
The statement further added that the militants were targeted in Ganda Labok area of the district, leaving at least six of them dead.
Nuristan is among the relatively volatile provinces in East of Afghanistan where the armed militants including Taliban and other militants belonging to Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorist network are actively operating in some of its districts and often carry out terrorist related activities.
