The march of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, was launched from the southernmost point of Basra, Iraq in a ceremony that was attended by the representative of the religious authority, where a large banner was hoisted to mark the beginning of the march towards Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Sheikh Haider al-Hilli said that “starting from Ras al-Bisha to the holy city of Karbala, to be the most distant point in Iraq. It is expected to witness that the march will reach the peak in the next few days, as the deployment of the Husseini services units continues along the roads to the holy city of Karbala.”
