Public Relations Emissaries Meet Custodian of Sayed Muhammad Shrine in Samarra, Iraq
With the approach of the last Friday of the great month of Ramadhan, the preparations for the Greatest Pilgrimage Caravan from holy Karbala to holy Samarra, with the slogan of “the day of helping the Al-Askari Imams” are now underway.

In this regard, some delegations from the Public Relations Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, under the supervision of Sayyid Aref Nasrullah held meetings with the custodianship of Sayed Mohammad Shrine in holy Samarra.
Mr. Haydar Abedin, a member of the delegations said: “The meetings focused on preparing the grounds for the great pilgrimage journey of hundreds of Shia believers to holy Samarra on the last Friday of holy Ramadan.”
He then explained about the foundation of this religious caravan and said: “It is now for years that the Samarra Caravan (also known as al-Wala’ wa al-Fida’ wa al-Fateh: الولاء والفداء والفتح) leads a great pilgrimage caravan to the holy city of Samarra.”
He also added that the activity is taking place based on the commandments of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life.
He further added, “We predict that hundreds of people will join this pilgrimage caravan, like the previous years. So we expect that we will need more than 300 buses for the transportation of pilgrims to holy Samarra.”
The public relations office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Karbala has designated the last Friday of holy Ramadan to the Universal Day of Al-Askari Imams. On this day, hundreds of pilgrims board more than 250 buses in order to visit the sacred Al-Askari shrines in holy Samarra.
It is worth noting that this pilgrimage caravan is one of the biggest of its kind in the history of Samarra.
This pilgrimage caravan is organized by Sayyid Aref Nasrullah, the head of the Public Relations Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Karbala.
