Thousands hold funeral for a military commander of Mukhtar al-Thaqafi Battalion in Holy Karbala

Thousands of people in the holy city of Karbala have attended a funeral for a military commander of Mukhtar al-Thaqafi Battalion, affiliated to the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, who was recently martyred while defusing explosive improvise devices planted by IS terrorists in Balad district.

Mourners took to the streets in the holy city of Karbala on Wednesday to lay Lieutenant General Ra’ed al-Zaidi’s body to rest.

It is to mention that the martyr was one of the leaders who liberated Jurf  al-Sakhar area from IS control.
