The “Nabard-e-Ahanin” operation was launched a week ago in Deh Yak district of the province to clear the area of terrorists. The operation is still ongoing, it said, adding that “the air force is also supporting the forces.”
A number of weapons were also discovered during the operation, it added. However, the statement did not provide further details. The Taliban has not yet commented about the operation.
