More than 100 families returned on Friday to their villages and towns in the Western Qalamoun area in Damascus Countryside after the Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability in the area along the border between Syria and Lebanon at the end of last August.

“45 Syrian families and 64 Lebanese families that had been living together for decades returned to the town of al-Tafil and other villages after they had been forced to abandon their homes by terrorist organizations,” SANA’s reporter said.

The returning families expressed their gratitude to the Syrian Arab Army for the sacrifices they made to liberate their towns and to restore security and stability to them, which allowed them to return home.
