Saudi Criminal Court sentenced a Shia activist to 9 years in prison

The Specialized Criminal Court in Riyadh sentenced a Shia activist, from Awwamiyah town, to 9 years in prison.
Mohammad Salih Abdullah al-Zanadi was arrested by a security force on March 23rd 2012. He was injured when the force opened fire on him in Jomoma district in Awwmiyah. He was taken to al-Dahran military hospital, before taking him to al-Dahran prison.
Al-Zanadi, one of 23 wanted persons on a list Interior Ministry, was accused of disobeying the ruler, inciting disorder, trying to assassinate a security member, and for possessing weapons.
