As pilgrims have begun walking to the holy city of Kerbela to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, thousands of services units from the city of Basrah have begun offering free service to the pilgrims. The free services they offer are foods, water, medical assistance, places for the pilgrims to rest in, etc.
3500 services units are moving with the pilgrims, carrying everything pilgrims may need during their pilgrimage. Not only do the services units help pilgrims from Iraq, but they also help anyone who comes from other countries.
Furas Hussein, director of a services unit, said that there are approximately 3 million people in the city of Basrah serving pilgrims while walking.
