A group of insurgents have launched a coordinated suicide attack on a bank in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan.

 

 

A group of insurgents have launched a coordinated suicide attack on a bank in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan.

According to reports, the incident has taken place close to the Kabul Bank branch in Lashkargah city, the provincial capital of Helmand.

There are no reports regarding the casualties so far and no group has yet claimed responsibility behind the attack.

The provincial governor’s spokesman confirmed the incident and said preliminary reports indicate at least twenty people were killed or wounded in the attack.
